Big Brother Fans Who Craft: Customize Your Own Miniature BB-style Keys

This post is for fans of the Big Brother reality TV show who are into making crafts (like me!)

Just before the season of Big Brother 12 started, I was feeling like making something crafty that had a Big Brother theme, so I decided to roll out some sparkly blue polymer clay and proceed to cut out about 20 miniature keys shaped similar to those used by the Big Brother Houseguests.

After the keys had come out of the oven and cooled, i proceed to paint mine and customize it with my name and was very happy with the result!

Now i have 17 blank keys left over so selling them for a buck a piece to anyone out there who's a BB fan and wants to make their own key magnet (or keychain).  You can also purchase a bunch of them, personalize them, and give them to your friends who are fans of the show too!  See the pics below:

The size of each key

Make a Key Chain - Decorate the blank key to your liking NOTE:  Keyring rounds not included

Keys are all approximately the width of 2 to 4 stacked playing cards

Get some adhesive-backed magnetic sheets, cut to fit and stick on the back of your key......and.......

....you now have a refrigerator magnet!  Just paint and decorate it to your liking.  Great to give as gifts to other BB fans.  Use also as party favors, use in scrapbooks, make keychains (see above) - use your imagination   NOTE:  Adhesive-backed magnetic strips not include

• Paint them
• Customize them using letter templates
• Finish them with a clear gloss overcoat (Future floor wax works great with polymer clay)
• Stick a magnet on the back for a personalized refrigerator magnet
• Punch/drill/cut a hole in the top for a personalized keychain
• Create a scrapbook of your favorite houseguests and use them in that
• Use your imagination!

The polymer clay was rolled out by hand, and each key was cut individually with a crafting blade, following a standard key pattern, so while the key shapes are basically uniform with the same pattern, some may be slightly different than others due to the individuality of each one.

Some are thicker than the others. The thinnest key is about the width of 2 playing cards; the thickest is about the width of 4 playing cards (see picture above).

They are sturdy and have some "give," with the ability to bend back and forth slightly when stressed.
